Dr. Randy Clyde currently serves as the director of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) in the San Bernardino City Unified School District. Prior to this role he served as middle school principal, elementary vice principal, program specialist, and middle school science teacher in SBCUSD. Randy attended the University of California Riverside where he earned a Bachelors of Science in Biology and a Masters of Education. He also holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from San Diego State University.
Randy became a resident of San Bernardino in 2017 wanting to live in the community where he served as an educator. He believes that education is an opportunity to endless opportunities and that libraries serve as hubs of knowledge development. He can still remember his mother taking him to their neighborhood library during holiday breaks ensuring learning never stopped. Randy is passionate about literacy, innovation in education, educational equity and inclusion, and STEM education.
