John F. Stuchberry was born on June 12, 1830 in England. As a young man, he went to Australia and married Emma Cadd, born May 24, 1832. In 1857 they traveled to San Bernardino. He was a farmer and owned land on the south side of 7th Street, west of I Street. Stuchberry died on December 16, 1903 and Emma died July 4, 1912. Both are buried in the San Bernardino Pioneer Cemetery.
